HiPERiSM - High Performance Algorism Consulting
The HiPERiSM Consulting Science and Engineering data Visualization (HC-SEV) service offers the Package for Analysis and Visualization of Environmental data (PAVE) to visualize data sets of complex and advanced models. PAVE was developed by the Environmental Modeling Center, MCNC, and executables are freely available from the Community Modeling and Analysis System (http://www.cmascenter.org).
PAVE is popular in the environmental modeling community for visualizing multivariate gridded datasets that require rapid animation options and it supports multiple simultaneous visualizations with low computational overhead costs.
For examples follow these embedded links (and compare with Vis5D for the same data):
1. From the species list pop up panel select the species to display (Ozone).
2. For the animation control pop up panel move the horizontal slider to choose the time of day (9 pm).
3. View the resulting display showing Ozone concentrations for the selected time in the first layer (closest to sea level).
4. Animation (not shown) confirms that Ozone concentration peaks at 9-10pm and this is also visible in a bar chart display of the average for the first later.
